Procite-D is a catecholamine support formula specifically targeting dopamine while also supporting norepinephrine, epinephrine and beta-endorphin pathways. It supplies critical B vitamins in co-enzymatic and/or phosphorylated/methylated form needed for proper neurotransmitter conversion.Mucuna pruriens is a natural source of L-dopa, the catecholamine precursor. L-phenylalanine and N-acetyl-L-tyrosine are building blocks for the catecholamines. D-phenylalanine promotes PEA (phenylethylamine), thus promoting beta endorphin production. It also acts as an enkephalinase inhibitor.Vitamin B6 (P5P form) is a cofactor for the conversion of L-dopa to dopamine. Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12) and L-methylfolate are methyl donors, required for the production of epinephrine. Selenium is added as an antioxidant while N-acetyl-L-cysteine provides support for biosynthetic activities in this pathway. To this formula is also added NSB blend, to assist in delivery across the gut wall. NSB allows for lower doses and fewer capsules while still maintaining efficacy—which encourages better patient compliance.
